Information for attending the 10 day January event in the Reliant Center at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas.
Dates, Hours and Tickets
The 2008 Houston International Boat, Sport and Travel Show will be held at the Reliant Center at Reliant Park from January 4 through the 13, 2008. Opening weekend will welcome guests from 5-9pm on Friday, 10am-9pm on Saturday and 12-9pm on Sunday. The show will also be open Monday, January 7 through Friday, January 11th 1-9pm with closing weekend hours running from 10am-9pm on Saturday and 12-6pm on Sunday.
Adult admission is $8 while students with a valid ID receive a discount admission of $4 -- children 5 and under get in free with an adult. Paid admission comes with a one year subscription to one of the following publications: Motor Boating, Yachting, Waterski, Outdoor Life,or Islands which are valued at $7. Tickets are available at the Reliant Center and also through Ticketmaster.

Show Attractions
This Houston show is an event for every type of outdoor enthusiast. The show boasts more than 450 exhibits featuring boats, RVs, fishing information, water sport instructions and more. The exhibits and displays will cover more than 5 football fields of space. Specific show attractions include the Bass Tubs of Oklahoma Fishing Demonstrations, Fish-O-Rama Fishing Contests, and a Live Stingray Exhibit. Visitors will also have the opportunity to attend show seminars on a variety of boating, fishing and water sport topics. A map and alphabetized list of vendors is available on the show website.
Where to Stay
As will all large cities, there are many places to stay in the Houston area. However, Lake View RV Resort and South Main RV Park are 2 campgrounds that are close to Reliant Park. Both parks have excellent amenities and facilities and are members of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau.
